New Years Celbrations

This past week at work has been busy. I am trying to learn the specifics of my job – which I will be happy to explain once I have a better idea of what I am doing. Right now I am living in a tent again. This time I only have nineteen roommates. Much better that in Kuwait!



A couple of days after I got to my base (New Kabul Compound – NKC), we celebrated New Years. We gathered around a camp fire drinking near beer or hot chocolate. Just in case you were wondering, we are not allowed to consume alcohol while in theater. The good news is that we rang in the new year 9 hours and 30 minutes before the East Coast.
